The operations team manually received orders via email, logged them into a spreadsheet, and then manually updated their ERP system. Standard SaaS solutions fell short due to Acme's unique multi-vendor coordination needs, requiring custom fields and processing checks. The Solution
We implemented a comprehensive automation solution leveraging n8n for workflow orchestration and integration capabilities with FastAPI and Supabase for database management. Orders are now automatically captured from emails, parsed, and structured as JSON data, which is then processed through OpenAI's API to audit entries for accuracy before updating the ERP system. Custom templates for automated prompts ensure structured output while human approval loops are facilitated through n8n's Slack integration. This system allows real-time order verification and adjustments, drastically reducing delays and errors. Synced records, verified through automated checks, are pushed back seamlessly into the central CRM, increasing data reliability and operational throughput.
