The Solution

To tackle these issues, we implemented a custom automation solution using n8n for workflow orchestration, FastAPI for handling API requests, and OpenAI for natural language processing capabilities. Our automation process ingested invoice data directly from email attachments and CRM uploads, parsing the information using structured JSON schemes that were dynamically generated through OpenAI prompts. A Slack-based human-in-the-loop trigger was incorporated to allow finance teams to validate high-risk entries quickly, minimizing delays. Synced records were then updated automatically in the CRM and ERP systems to maintain data consistency.
